Vasily Ivanovich PONOMAREV was a teacher of Russian language arts in Simbirsk Gymnasium for Boys. In 1908 he taught mathematics and physics in the First Kazan Gymasium, and in 1916, was inspector of Kazan technical secondary school and court councilor.
