Nikolai Viktorovich NASONOV (1855 -1939) was a biologist, zoologist, and member of St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (since 1906). In 1878-1880, he was appointed assistant at the Zoological Museum of Moscow Univeristy and since 1884 worked in Odessa with professor A. O. Kovalevsky. He taught at Moscow University in Russia and Warsaw University in Poland.
