Semen Nikolaevich KRUGLIKOV (1851-1910) was a music critic, student and friend of composer Rimsky-Korsakov, a friend and the best man (together with Sergei Rakhmaninoff) of singer Fedor Shalyapin. In 1890s, he was consulting Mamontov’s Moscow Private Opera, while popularizing Russian classical music.
