Kazimir Mill (pen name: Polyarny) (1878-1932) was a Russian writer and translator.
Sergei Dmitrievich MERKUROV (1881 - 1952) was a Russian sculptor of Armenian and Greek decent, author of numerous monuments to Stalin and Lenin, as well as many Moscow monuments, including to Leo Tolstoy, Fedor Dostoevsky, and others. Merkurov studied philosophy in Switzerland at Zurich University and later at Munich Academy of Arts. In 1905-1907, he worked in Paris, France, where he was influenced by Auguste Rodin. Merkurov was a cousin of philosopher George Gurdjieff.
