Francoise-Jeanne Litvinne (born Schutz) (1863, St. Petersburg – 1936, Paris), opera singer. Debuted in Paris in 1880, toured in Belgium and the United States. Since 1889, sang at Grand Opera in Paris, France. In 1890, returned to Russia and sang in Moscow and St. Petersburg, becoming a soloist of the Bolshoi Theather. In 1907, participated in the Diaghilev Seasons in Paris, where she sang in concerts with Chaliapin. In 1915, sang Aida in Monte-Carlo with Enrico Caruso. Litvinne left the stage in 1917 for teaching in France. She authored a memoire My Life and My Art (Paris, 1933). She was also one of the first singers whose voice was featured on records (1903).
